You never asked

You never asked, but these are the things I am most proud of:

My hometown and my family.
I grew up in a small town on the coast of Maine. The famous lighthouse you always see in magazines and on posters was 3 miles down the road from my house. We lived in an old grey Victorian. It had three stories. My two oldest brothers, Chris and John, lived on the 3rd floor.  C&J's Crow's Nest. Tony and I each had rooms on the 2nd floor, along with my parents' sprawling master bedroom and a yellow guest room. Tony's room was just on the right as you came up the meandering staircase. We shared the bathroom that was at the far side of his room. In the middle of the night I had to walk past him in his bunkbed, careful not to wake him up. I was always careful around Tony, as I always knew I was always on his nerves. My mom told me recently he was angry I was born. But I still loved him then and I still love him now. I am proud of all my brothers and would never tear them down. It is hard to know that your brother dislikes you for no fault of your own, other than just coming into being.

My wine shop:
Though it give me great stress also. It was never a financial success. Probably never will be. But at least it is doing a lot better than it was originally. It was something I had in my head when I was 30.  Something I wanted to do and I wasn't going to let anyone stand in my way.  I made it happen for better or worse.  It is almost 20 now. Not sure how it made it this far, other than sheer will. I wish we loved in simpler times when a small wine shop could be a small wine shop...could service those who loved it and didn't have to stress abut why it wasn't for everyone.

My Son.

My House and where I live.

My wine job

My athletic ability

My friends: Heather, Jen, Kyle, Elaine, Kim, Cathy, Soni,  KB.
